Getting Started

We need to discuss about Hackintosh Requirements before diving right into creating an OpenCore based system.

Hackintosh Requirements

⦁ If you have critical tasks or deadlines to meet, don’t begin working on this. You shouldn’t use a hackintosh as your primary work machine.
  2.  [Important] RECOGNIZE YOUR HARDWARE:
⦁ The name and generation of your CPU
    ⦁ Your graphics processing units
⦁ The setup of your storage devices (HDD/SSD, NVMe/AHCI/RAID/IDE)
⦁ If your laptop or desktop is from an OEM,
⦁ The chipset in your Ethernet
    ⦁ Your Bluetooth/WLAN chipset

⦁ This is the cornerstone of this entire guide, not simply If you don’t know how to remove a file or cd to a directory, we are unable to assist you.
  4. [Important] a device that satisfies the requirements listed in the compatibility section.
    ⦁ Hardware Limitations section
  5. [Important] A minimum of:
⦁ 16GB if you plan to make the USB using macOS
⦁ 8GB if you plan to build the USB using Windows or Linux
  6. [Important] An Ethernet connection (no WiFi dongles; depending on macOS support, an Ethernet USB adaptor can work) and the model of your LAN card are prerequisites.

**Note: Keep in mind that macOS does not support the majority of WiFi cards.
