Bootable USB Installer
You can install or reinstall macOS on a Mac by using a USB installer, which is a bootable USB device that holds a copy of the operating system. It is usually employed when a system needs to be upgraded, troubleshooted, or a fresh installation made. You can use third-party software or Apple’s macOS installation files to construct the USB installer, which allows you to install and boot macOS without an internet connection.
Steps of Create MacOS USB Installer or Bootable USB

→ You Need Some Tools & Files For Macking Usb Installer :
- For Larger USB Drive to Format in FAT32 ( 16 GB+ )
- MacOS File ( .Raw Or .Dmg )
- MacOS EFI File
- Flash Tool ( Rufus )
Making USB Installer in windows is easy.There are several Method For Create USB Installer in Windows. We recommend 2 easy method for Create Bootable USB Installer.
Method 1– MacOS Image File (.Raw) Using Rufus [GUI Based , Simplest way]
- Step 1 : Download MacOS Image File
- Step 2 : Flash Image File using Rufus
- Step 3 : Copy EFI File into the USB
Method 2– MacOS Recovery File (.Dmg) Using Rufus [Time Consuming and Required Internet Connection]
- Step 1 : Download MacOS Recovery File
- Step 2 : Format USB Drive at Fat32 Format
- Step 3 : Copy Reovery File & EFI File into the USB Drive
Method 1- MacOS Image File (.Raw) Using Rufus [GUI Based , Simplest way]

Step 1 - Download MacOS Image File
→ Download MacOS Image File (.Raw)
→ Extract .RAW file from Downloaded ZIP

Step 2 - Flash Image File Using Rufus
- Download Rufus Flash Tool [Download always update version]
- Insert USB-stick and open Rufus.exe file [ Rufus Detect USB Stick Automaticaly]
- Select .Raw Image File From Step 1- Unziped Image File Folder By Clicking “Select” Option
- If Don’t Show any .Raw File Then Click “Disk or iso image” From Left Down Corner and select “All Files” and then select the .Raw file.
- Click “Start” and Then Click “Ok” [If you Have anything valuable on the usb stick ,make a backup of your files before completing this step,as the usb will be formatted during this step]
- Wait For Complete
- When You See the Green “READY” Button then You are done!.
Step 3 - Copy EFI File into the USB
You Need To Access EFI Pertition For input EFI Folder.When you Finish Writing the Image File to the usb You Can’t access the usb normaly to Copy the EFI File.Sometimes the USB Drive Can be accessed by opening the USB drive and remounting it,so after your USB flash complete insert it and reconnect it .
- When you can access your USB drive, you will see an EFI folder on your USB drive.
- (Note: Not EFI File Which is Using For Install MacOS)
- Now you select and delete everything inside this EFI folder
- Now you copy your desired EFI file to this EFI folder.
- (Note: You cannot be dragged and dropped or merged in any way.)

Method 2- MacOS Recovery File (.Dmg) Using Rufus
This Method is Time Consuming and Required Internet Connection
Step 1 : Download MacOS Recovery File and EFI Folder
- Download MacOS Recovery File
- Downlaod EFI Folder For Your Sytem
Step 2 : Format USB Drive at Fat32 Format
- Insert Your USB drive
- Write Click on the USB drive and Select ”Format”
- Select File System ”Fat32”
- For Larger USB Drive to Format in FAT32 ( 16 GB+ )
- Then input your Volume Label name
- Now Click ”Start” and Then Click ”Ok”
- If you Have anything valuable on the usb stick ,make a backup of your files before completing this step,as the usb will be formatted during this step
Step 3 : Copy Reovery File & EFI File into the USB Drive
- Unzip Recovery Folder
- We using Winrar Unzip Tools
- Copy ”com.apple.recovery.boot” Under Recovery Folder and paste it into the usb Drive
- Unzip EFI Folder
- Copy Just EFI Folder under Your Cpu Codename Folder (Ex: Haswell > EFI)
(Note: You cannot be dragged and dropped or merged in any way.)
